Families for a Cure recently approved a grant for NC4K, a local non-profit focused on helping pediatric cancer patients. We’ve agreed to continue our support of the Grab and Go Snack Bags program to provide emotional support to families. Every Friday, 40 snack bags are delivered to Nationwide Children’s Hospital for pediatric cancer patients at the hospital. These bags contain a variety of items that are aimed to hit every taste bud to try and find one snack that might be something the patient is willing to eat that day. Treatments often times leave patients with a different sense of taste and the things that once tasted great no longer are appealing.
